Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage pork or turkey
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 1/4 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese freshly grated preferred
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sausage until well blended.
  • Add Bisquick mix, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and milk. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Using a cookie scoop, shape mixture into 1-inch balls and place evenly on the baking sheet.
  • Chill the formed sausage balls for 10 minutes before baking (optional but helps shape).
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Serve warm.

Notes

Customize with different cheeses (e.g., pepper jack, Gruyère) or herbs like rosemary or parsley. Freeze unbaked sausage balls on a tray, then store in bags for up to 3 months. Bake directly from frozen, adding 5 extra minutes.
